This is raw single-origin acacia honey — unpasteurised, coarse-sieved, with nothing added. It is not a blended table honey, and it is not infused with anything.
Compare before you choose
Compare the floral source, whether the honey is raw or pasteurised, and the price per kilogram. "Natural" and "pure" are unregulated on a label; a named bloom, a harvest season and a batch are not.
Check the pack
Read the seal, the packing date and the ingredient line — raw honey should list one ingredient. If a test report matters to your purchase, ask for the report covering the batch you are being sent rather than a general purity claim.

About this product
Raw, single-origin acacia honey from the Acacia and Kikar forests of Kashmir, harvested by traditional beekeepers. No heating, no filtering beyond a coarse sieve, no added sugar and no syrup — pure honey, exactly as it left the comb.
Acacia honey is the lightest of the Kashmiri blooms: pale amber, almost clear in the jar, with a clean floral sweetness that does not overpower whatever you put it in. It is also the slowest of the common Indian honeys to crystallise, because of its high fructose share — which is one of the simpler ways to tell a true acacia bloom from a blended one.
Raw means unpasteurised. Commercial honey is heated so it stays liquid and pours fast on a filling line; that heat also drives off the enzymes and the volatile aromatics. Ours is never taken above hive temperature, so what is in the jar is what the bees made.
How to use: stir a teaspoon into warm — not boiling — milk, kahwa or water. Drizzle over toast, yoghurt or oatmeal. Use it in place of sugar wherever the flavour of the honey is meant to be tasted. Each 500 g jar holds roughly 30-40 servings.
Storage: keep the jar sealed at room temperature. If it does eventually granulate, stand it in warm water to liquefy. Never microwave honey.
Frequently asked questions
How do I check if honey is original or adulterated?
No single kitchen test is conclusive, and the popular ones are weaker than the internet suggests — the water test, the thumb test and the flame test all fail on some genuine honeys and pass on some adulterated ones. What actually tells you something: read the ingredient line, which on real honey names one ingredient and nothing else; check whether a floral source, a harvest season and a batch are stated, because a blender who cannot name a bloom usually does not have one; and see whether the honey eventually granulates, since honey that stays perfectly clear for years has almost always been heated or cut with syrup. For a definitive answer there is only a laboratory test — C4 sugar and SMR screening — on the specific batch you were sent.
Which honey is best in India?
It depends on what you want it for, and the honest answer is that floral source matters more than brand. Acacia is the lightest and cleanest, slow to crystallise, and the one to choose when you do not want the honey to dominate — in tea, on yoghurt, or wherever you are replacing sugar. Darker multifloral and forest honeys carry more flavour and more pollen but overpower delicate things. Whatever the bloom, the distinction that matters most is raw against pasteurised: heating a honey to keep it liquid on a filling line also drives off the enzymes and the aromatics you are paying for.
Is this raw honey, and what does raw actually mean?
Raw means the honey has never been heated beyond the temperature of the hive itself, and has been filtered only through a coarse sieve rather than pressure-filtered. That keeps the enzymes, the trace pollen and the volatile aromatics intact. It also means the honey behaves like a natural product: it varies a little between batches, and it will granulate in time. Almost all supermarket honey is pasteurised, which is why it pours identically from every jar, every season.
Why has my honey crystallized? Is it still good?
Crystallisation is honey doing what honey does, and it is a point in favour of the jar rather than against it — it is the glucose coming out of solution, which heated and heavily filtered honey is specifically processed not to do. Acacia is slower to granulate than most because of its high fructose share, so it may stay liquid for a long time. If it does set, stand the sealed jar in a bowl of warm, not boiling, water for fifteen to twenty minutes. Never microwave honey. Set or liquid, it is the same honey.
What does raw Kashmiri honey cost per kg?
Ours is ₹499 for a 500 g jar and ₹970 for a kilogram, so the kilo works out slightly cheaper per gram. Raw single-origin honey sits above blended table honey on price for a straightforward reason: it comes from one bloom in one season rather than being pooled from many sources and standardised, and the yield per hive is what it is. Treat a raw, single-origin claim at commodity-blend prices as a reason to ask which bloom and which batch.
Is this raw honey or processed honey?
Raw. It is never heated above hive temperature and is filtered only through a coarse sieve, which is why it may granulate over time. The pack selector shows the available weights and prices.
